Casablanca Cooking Class

Casablanca Cooking class will introduce you to the culinary traditions of Morocco. We will pick you up from your Riad or Hotel around 9am. We start our day at 9h30 am.

We can make the following:

  • Taktouka – Moroccan Tomatoes and Roasted Peppers Salad
  • Moroccan Artichoke Salad with Garlic, Spices and Preserved Lemon
  • Moroccan Couscous Salad
  • Moroccan Lentil Salad
  • Moroccan Chicken and Wheat Salad
  • Moroccan Carrot Salad 
  • Moroccan tomato and cucumber salad
  • Steamed Artichokes
  • Moroccan Spinach Salad with Preserved Lemon and Olives
  • Potato Cakes (Maakouda)
  • Zesty Moroccan Okra Salad
  • Moroccan Armenian Cucumber and Tomato Salad
  • Moroccan Fava Bean Salad
  • Bakoula – Steamed Mallow Salad with Preserved Lemon and Olives
  • Piquant Moroccan Rice with Tomatoes and Peppers
  • Sweet and Spicy Moroccan Eggplant 
  • Moroccan Sauteed Zucchini
  • Moroccan Green Bean Saute with Garlic
  • Moroccan Homemade Mashed Potatoes
  • Moroccan Marinated Carrots
  • Cold Potato Salad with Parsley 
  • Moroccan Cucumber Salad
  • Moroccan Fried Eggplant
  • Moroccan Sardine Balls
  • Moroccan Roasted Pepper Salad
  • Moroccan Fava Beans Salad
  • Moroccan Zucchini Salad

Then in our cooking class we will prepare bread and put it in the oven.

After that, we will start our tagine preparation. Depending on the produce that we find we can prepare one or more dishes such as:

  • Vegetarian Tagine – 7 kinds of vegetables
  • Chicken and olives Tagine with Preserved Lemon
  • Meat with vegetables Tagine
  • Lamb with vegetables Tagine
  • Moroccan Couscous with Chicken
  • Moroccan Couscous with Lamb
  • Moroccan Sweet Chicken Bastilla
  • Moroccan Seafood Bastilla
  • Chicken Tagine with Dried Apricots
  • Chicken Tagine with Lemon and Eggs
  • Moroccan Chicken Rfissa
  • Moroccan Meatball Tagine in Tomato Sauce
  • Moroccan Tagine of Lamb with Prunes
  • Moroccan Saffron Lamb
  • Moroccan Roasted Lamb
  • Moroccan Fish Tagine with Vegetables
  • Moroccan Vegetarian Chickpea and Carrot Tagine

By the time we are done preparing; we should have completed our bread preparation. We can also make the following using a similar Moroccan bread dough. We can also make the following:

  • Batbout – Moroccan flatbread
  • Harcha – semolina bread
  • Kefta Stuffed Msemen
  • Moroccan Mahrash Bread
  • Moroccan Bread with Olives

This is a great experience to live through time in Morocco and see how the traditional dishes are made. Our guests enjoy a nice meal at the end of the day. You will also learn how to make a few Moroccan dishes and breads.

    Is this tour happening tomorrow 19, July, 2017? Or do you know of another one so could do. I’m only available tomorrow. Would love to cook Moroccan.
